French run online poker room Titan Poker which finds its home within the iPoker gaming network have just announced that they have completed the signing of a 24 year old Canadian professional poker player to their roster.

Sorel ‘Imper1um’ Mizzi has just agreed to endorse the premium iPoker online poker room and with the player being regarded as a specialist within the poker tournament setting, this can only be considered to be a great signing for both play and poker room.

Mizzi has recently shot into the online poker community spotlight after winning a number of poker tournaments on Pokerstars over the last week and with those cashes managed to bank over $150,000 in tournament winnings.

Mizzi isn’t a one trick pony either, carrying his online successes onto the live poker tables and notching up a number of impressive results in some of the biggest live poker tournaments within the poker social calendar.

This year has already proven to be another that the player won’t forget in a hurry after recently taking third place within the Aussie Millions tournament and receiving a cool $659,000 for his efforts.

So surely a capture like this can only mean that the player is going to bring positive press for both himself and Titan?

Well with the good comes the bad and the player is currently serving a ban from playing on Full Tilt Poker after he was found to have taken control of a friends account mid tournament, finally taking first place.

After complaints that the player seems to step up a number of levels at the online poker tables, it became clear that the player had stepped in to help his friend and as a result both players were banned from the site.

Mizzi is confident that Titan Poker is the best home that he could have wished to sign for after parting ways with Betfair before being able to be approached to sign for the French site.

When asked if Mizzi could offer any words of advice to players who are looking to follow in the young professionals footsteps he said:

“Play within your bankroll. Keep detailed statistics of what games you’re making most money from and focus playing what you’re best at. Find a mentor whose game you respect and that is where you want to be.”

Also don’t forget about the great features like the iPoker rake race that can be found at Titan Poker.
